We offer the possibility of creating a 100% custom stave drumkit, in any configuration ( within sizes), any available wood and the hardware of your choosing. Custom bearing edges to achieve the sound you want . For finish we can use almost any color stain and tung oil or shellac as topcoat.

what we do
Northern Drumworks is a small drum workshop established 2017 by two musicians who also happen to be brothers. We focus on producing genuine 100% custom drums using the stave technique. The whole idea came from the desire to offer a different take on modern drum making. The reason we chose the stave technique is because it doesn't require any bending or twisting that could create tension and ultimately alter the natural sound of the wood.
Stave drums are made using solid staves of wood glued into the shape of a cylinder and the milled smooth both inside and outside. Our stavedrums are made out of selected premium timber and are available in almost Any type of wood.
